| Legendary club honored at Austin Music Awards 3/12/2003 10:46 PM By: News 8 Austin Staff For 28 years, Hole in the Wall in downtown Austin was a live music
venue for some of Austin's greatest musical acts. The club closed last summer, but was still celebrated at SXSW .
"We're trying to honor the spirit of the Hole in the Wall and the
adventurous, eclectic nature of that club. That really was the home
away from home," musician Paul Minor said. For several years, Minor presented free music every Sunday at the
club, located on Guadalupe and 26th Street. Many of the award-winning bands at the Austin Music Awards started
playing at Hole in the Wall. |
